Rosetta Stone

Students at Central Park are learning a new curriculum-Spanish! Rosetta Stone allows students to move at their own pace while learning key words and phrases in Spanish.†
†† For our students who are fluent in Spanish this program supports their developmental reading skills by providing practice in their native language.
†† Research shows that students who learn a second language as a child will be more likely to retain their knowledge and usage of a second language as they grown into adulthood.
We believe this program prepares students for the future and are excited to offer this program to our third and fourth grade learners!

Transportation Information
Parent Drop-Off Reminder for dropping off students: (Park Street)
Students should be dropped off on the Park Street entrance.† We ask that you use our Drop-off lane that runs along the south side of the school building on Park Street. (If you are familiar with the lay-out of Central Park-this is the third grade side of the building).
*To follow the best route for drop-off please turn off of Hwy H/9th Street from the east onto Park Street headed west toward the school. The school will be on the passenger side of your car.† Please pull along the curb in the loading and unloading zone to drop off or pick-up students. Students will exit your car from the passenger side door and be able to step directly onto school property.
We are excited to provide a safe way for your child to exit your car!

Drop-Off:† Please do not drop students off before 7:30 a.m. or allow them to walk to school to arrive before 7:30 a.m.† We ask that you don't leave your child unattended outside prior to 7:30.

Parent Pick-Up Reminder for those picking up students: (Park Street)
Parents-Just a reminder that if you are picking up your student at the end of the day, we offer two ways you can pick up your child.†

1) If you wish to park your car you may do so by parking along 6th Street and walk to the sidewalk area where staff are supervising your child.† You will need to let the teacher on duty know who you are picking up.† Students will be released to walk to the car with you.† Students will NOT†be allowed to walk across the street to you in your car without a parent or adult.† Please help us keep all students safe!

2) Parents may drive and pick-up students by getting in the student pick-up car zone that runs along the south side of the school on Park Street. Students will be supervised by teachers and assisted to your car when in the student pick-up line.† Students will only enter from the passenger side of the vehicle. We will NO†longer allow students to cross the road to get into your vehicle.† This is a safety concern and we are excited to offer a safe option for your child. †

*Students are released at 2:55 p.m daily.
*We ask that if you arrive early that you do not park or block the driveways of our neighbors or the bus lanes on the corner of Park Street and 7th Street. Thank you for your cooperation!
Bus Transportation Information:
Bus lanes for dropping off and picking up students are located on 7th Street.† Please DO†NOT†park on 7th Street to come pick up or drop off your child.† We ask that you not block the intersection at 7th St. and Park St.
All K-6th grade bus riders' parents need to complete a bus form that designates one drop off each afternoon for bus riders.† This has become a safety and overcrowding concern on our buses.† The district is asking for each student to have one designated stop each day.† In the rare case of an emergency, we also ask for one emergency stop that the school would utilize if a child's stop had to be changed on a rare occasion.† This would be done by the parent or legal guardian calling to let the school know and we would use the emergency stop for that day.† Please see the form at your child's school at Open House or stop by the school office so that you can complete the bus transportation information. †
